My analysis of the "How I learned to read" By Malcolm X and its comparison to "How I learned to live Google free by Joshua J Romero and " How I learned to program by Feross Aboukhadijeh

While the article by Malcolm X has many similarities to the articles "How I learned to live Google free by Joshua J Romero and "How I learned to program” by Feross Aboukhadijeh it also has its differences. Like the articles "How I learned to live Google free by Joshua J Romero and “How I learned to program” by Feross Aboukhadijeh Malcolm X's "How I learned to read" is about a journey of education that was not let go of. Like Feross Aboukhadijeh and Joshua J Romero, Malcolm X had an exploration of knowledge that lasted a long period of time in his life. Malcolm X’s article also entails the story of how he began a project, in his case learning of to read and write, and did not stop even when he had become proficient at it. This idea or theme of persevering is a theme that tires all of the articles together. Another main idea that can be pulled from all of the articles can be the feeling of accomplishment that came after each of the writers finally met their end goal. Each author also managed to use what they had learned outside in their lives to help others or to create things. Feross Aboukhadijeh would create webpages and help create programs for companies, Joshua J Romero uses his article to tell a story that could inform and help other people who would want to do the same as him and sever their ties to Google or any other big corporation, and Malcolm X would use his ability to read and write to become one of the most influential member of the Civil rights movement. Now while there are many similarities between the articles there are also differences. The obvious differences would the topic of study, Joshua J Romero learned how to sever his ties with Google, Feross Aboukhadijeh learned how to program, and Malcolm X learned how to read and write impressively well. Another obvious difference is how they came about their choice of study for their topic. Joshua J Romero decided one day that he wanted to challenge himself and sever his ties with Google, Feross Aboukhadijeh had a childhood hobby that he turned into a job, and Malcolm X decided he wanted to learn how to read and write when he was in prison. Other than these obvious differences some subtle ones are how they went about studying for their choice of learning, while Feross Aboukhadijeh and Joshua J Romero took to the web, Malcolm X looked to books and tablets with paper for his learning adventure. Other differences can be brought up as well such as what the end result was in each case being on learned something completely new, one learned how to stop using an iconic web page entirely, and one completing a hobby of his that started when he was a kid. In the end after reading all of the different articles I have come to see the differences and similarities in all of them and can now use all of the articles as a learning point for my paper.
