In the articles “How I Learned to Program” by Feross Aboukhadijeh
and “How I Learned to live Google Free” By Joshua J Romero, Both talk about an
experience they have had on an educational journey they have had while learning
how to do something. In the case of Aboukhadijeh he talks about how he started
his adventure on programming at a young age and never gave up, only continuing
to learn and practice programming. I can use this as a model for how I learned
something at a young age and continued to practice and learn this hobby till I
mastered it. That topic could be biking, at a young age I learned how to bike
just like everyone else, only I continued to bike and now I like to bike, I
have also learned how to maneuver around streets. The next step I could go for
is becoming a more powerful biker so I can bike for longer distances or up
steeper hills. I could also use Aboukhadijeh article as a model for how I never
gave up on something or persevered through or with something and how I learned
from it. That could be about procrastination and my one man mental war against
it. I like most other people procrastinate, procrastination cost me a great
opportunity and from that moment forward I have worked to stop procrastinating
and to procrastinate less. Romero wrote about how he wanted to not use Google
at all or be associated with the company at all. Romero’s article had similar
undertones as Aboukhadijeh, they both share the story of how they didn't give
up on something that was hard for them to start. But Romero focused more on how
he worked harder and harder, and persevered through his journey and he did not
talk about how it is something that he started as a kid. Romero explains on how
he learned that Google was collecting as much data as possible about people and
using it to make more and profit from it. This alone I could use as an example
or model, I could talk about how I learned about a topic and got more and more
invested in learning till I got to the point of doing something about it. After
the point where Romero learns as much as possible about Google he then deepens
his severing with Google to include all of its products, not just the Google
search engine. By doing so he deepens his doing away with Google. Again I could
use this as a model for a writing, I could write about a plot I learned or
something I studied that got deeper and deeper. All I all there is few things
that I can pick out of each article that I could potentially use as a model for
my paper.
Sounds good!
